On Tuesday 5/10/11 at 2208 hours Odessa Fire Company was alerted to an MVC at Old State Road & Old Corbit Road. 24-8C (Hensley) arrived on scene reported that the vehicle was into a residence at 605 Old State Road and established Command. Ambulance B-4 and Rescue-24, under Command of Captain 24 (Davis) arrived and began patient removal and transport to the Christiana Hospital. Rescue/Engine 4-6 under Command by Firefighter (Kaufman) assisted with patient removal. Command requested NCC Building Inspector to inspect the residence for structural damage. The Building Inspector deemed the residence uninhabitable and requested the Collapse Team from Claymont to shore up the damaged area. USAR-13 under Command of Deputy-13 (Haley) arrived and inspected the residence and determined the house didn’t need to be shored up. Command placed the scene under control at 0016 hours and cleared all units.
