01:38hrs, The OFC, N.C.C. Medic 5 / ALS 15 and D.S.P. Trooper 4 were altered to DuPont Parkway at Pole Bridge Road for a M.V.C. with Entrapment. BLS A-24 arrived at 01:43hrs with Engine 4-5 at 01:44hrs to confirm the entrapment and quickly remove the driver's door freeing the trapped person. Extrication was complete by 01:56hrs. The person was then placed in the Trooper 4 for aviation to Christina Medical Center in Stanton. Captain 24(Eckrich) established the command and requested Station 30 for HAZMAT30 along with DNREC due to the amount of diesel fuel spilled by the tractor trailer that was involved. Firefighters from Odessa were on scene for over 4 hours while the roadway was closed due to debris and investigational purposes.
