Members of the OFC were invited to newest WAWA in Newark on Kirkwood Highway on Friday am to take part in there Grand Opening. Due to a cancellation, the OFC was request to help with the Hoagie's for Hero's contest against Atena Hose, Hook and Ladder Company of Newark. Assistant Chief Fitzwater coordinated the trip and a crew of members attended which included Mike Brown, Grant Kaufman, Jeff Rogers and Whitney Fitzwater. The members took second place but thanks to Wawa's generosity both companies received the same cash award of $1,000 dollars. The additional $37 dollars was how many subs the members made in 3 minutes. The Odessa Fire Company thanks Wawa for the opportunity and the generous donation.
