Members of the OFC conducted training on the LODD of Columbus, Ohio Firefighter John Nance. John Nance died in a commercial fire after falling through a floor. Though Nance was uninjured in the fall crews were unable to rescue him before he died. Since this tragedy, Fire Departments across the nation have created various drills to perform rescues that could save downed firefighters in future scenarios. The members of the OFC trained these drills after learning about Firefighter John Nance's sacrifice.
