On Sunday December 29, 2019 at 1500 hours the Odessa Fire Company along with New Castle County Paramedics were alerted for an MVC with reported entrapment. Rescue units from Odessa and NCC went responding. upon arrival to the scene a total of 4 patients were found and entrapment confirmed on one patient. BLS units were requested from Middletown (27), Townsend (26), and Port Penn (29). Extracation began and the patient was quickly removed from the vehicle and placed under the care of ALS (NCC Medics). Patients were transported and units remained on scene for clean up for approx 30 mins before being placed under control.
