Earlier this morning Stations 4&24, along with Stations 1&27 were alerted to a report MVC on SR-1 S/B in the area of Rte. 299.  While units were responding, NCCo Fireboard advised the responding units that possibly one vehicle was down the embankment in the area of the DelDOT yard.  Upon arrival, the vehicle was located in the grassy area between the S/B lanes of SR-1 and the parking lot of the DelDOT yard.  The single patient self extricated himself prior to the arrival of FIre and EMS units. The patient was packaged and evaluated by the on-scene EMS and Medic #5C. Then later turned over the DSP Trooper Medic and subsequently flown to CMC for further evaluation.  

The scene was turned over to DSP Patrol and DelDOT for their investigation.
